How do I know I've made the right investments?

The right investments are the ones that still match your goals and risk profile, so they need reviewing whenever your life changes. In this video, McKern financial adviser Kristian Tangan explains that the question usually isn't 'when should I sell?' but 'when should I rebalance?'. For example, moving some growth assets into income-producing assets as you approach or enter retirement.

He also points to reliable sources you can trust: the ATO, ASIC and Moneysmart (look for .gov.au), and ASIC's Financial Advisers Register, where you can check that an adviser is registered.
