What is Customisation?
Customisation means building an investment plan around your specific goals. Diversification means spreading your money across different asset classes so you're not relying on any one of them. A good retirement plan uses both.
In this video, McKern financial adviser Kristian Tangan explains how a tailored strategy is built (goals first, then education, then an agreed recommendation that may include super, contributions and property), the difference between low-cost passive index funds (such as ones tracking the ASX 200 or S&P 500) and higher-cost active funds, and why general information online can't account for your personal circumstances.
